Sam Alaimo

Sam J. Alaimo served as an Army officer in World War II, including service in the Philippines and postwar Japan where he was a unit commander in field artillery. After the war he attended Santa Clara University (graduating 1947), played and coached basketball (including semi-pro in Sacramento), and later ran Sam J. Alaimo Insurance Services for more than 40 years. He was active in his parish and the SCU community and was inducted into the Santa Clara University Athletic Hall of Fame.
